Library
offers amnesty

CAVE
CREEK – Desert Foothills Library is offering
a special opportunity to patrons who have failed
to return books and other items.
During
December, the library will waive all fines on
overdue items when they are returned to the
library along with one can of food per item
returned. The canned goods will be donated to
the Foothills Food Bank.
This
will allow those books, CDs, videos and DVDs
to be back on the library shelves and the food
bank to restock its inventory.
“We
want our books back with no questions asked,”
Kris Proskus, library director, said. “This
will clear patrons’ records of overdue fines
so they can start the new year with a clean
slate.”
